The Greatest Song EVER?

Aug 30, 2004 22:26

I got tired of looking at the old entry so I decided I'd do my own senseless list to replace it. Point is there isn't a greatest song ever, it always changes. But here are 10 that kickass at any given moment. And sorry Buckley, not a single Beattles song made my list

1. Like a Rolling Stone- Bob Dylan
Happy uplifting song with powerfull message, thank God Dylan went electric

2. Interstate Love Song- Stone Temple Pilots
Weiland may do a lot of heroin, but he can sing like none other in rock today

3. Wish You Were Here- Pink Floyd
Tribute songs don't get any better than this

4. One- U2
Bono can sing. Period.

5. Stairway to Heaven- Led Zeppelin
The classic Ballad with a great Paige solo

6. Comfortably Numb- Pink Floyd
Great Guitar solo and the highlight from the Wall

7. Fortunate Son- CCR
Amazing Anti Vietnam war anthem. American Rock at its best.

8. Back in Black- AC\DC
The song is ageless and will never die

9. Shine On You Crazy Diamond- Pink Floyd
After listening to this song I always think, why didn't Gilmour write more of their music?

10. Money- Pink Floyd
Great Bass line and catchy song
