A course is set...

I need to get my butt in gear and start sewing some corsets.

Does anyone recommend a good place for corset busks at low prices?

I have no idea, but I do demand pictures and possible prices on commissioning one if you will ever offer that >_> Corsets are awesome!

You should definitely join "corsetmakers" which is an lj community I've been reading for a few months now. There's a wealth of good info, tips and experience to draw from, plus lots of pictures of other people's corsets (from first time to professional.)

Re: busks...there are a couple of sites online that you can order them from. There are none available at any store around here that I have ever found, but try corsetmaking.com for some examples of reasonable pricing. They have a good selection and not too bad prices. A 7-inch busk (with four closures, for underbust corsets) runs $12.50, all the way up to an 18 inch for $21.00. The only trick is that you have to add shipping and handling on to that. So I would pick a pattern first and do a rough mock up so that you know for sure what you want--then you can even order the boning and lacing and all that stuff from them.

Seriously, read corsetmakers, and don't forget to look at the memories where they keep all the really good informative posts.
