3 years ago today, the world lost a legend.
George Harrison succumbed to cancer on November 29th, 2001.
like they said, guitars around the world weeped that day
and so did i.
he was a huge pillar in my life, he was spiritual, had a great sense of humor, intelligent and extremely talented.
he touched many lives, and though i never knew him, i grew up with him being a big inspiration in my life, and miss him greatly.
i think tonight when Dana gets in, we should make some dinner and watch his tribute DVD.. i havent seen it in a while, and only seems appropriate.
being the 'quiet intellectual', i could identify with him pretty well... well, minus the intellectual part. lol.
it was always hard to choose a 'favourite beatle' because i love all of them for different reasons, but George always stood out more than the rest for me. just a real down to earth and real kind of guy. :)
the world loves ya, George. and misses you very very much.
