It seemed like it had been years since Garrus had last set foot in Flux.  Granted, it had been well over a year since he had been in the club - after all, there wasn't much call for Spectres to go there - but it seemed like longer than that.  However, he'd heard that someone had been hanging out there since the morning, and damned if he was going to pass up the chance to get a hold of him while Garrus himself happened to be on the Citadel.

His target was, as he suspected, playing Quasar.  Totally focused on it, in fact.  He quietly moved behind him.  "Didn't think you'd get so engrossed in Quasar that you wouldn't hear someone sneaking up behind you."

Wrex snorted.  "I heard and saw you coming.  Didn't think I needed to bother letting you know."  He finished his hand and turned, displaying what Garrus knew to be a wide smile, even if most people would be intimidated by it.  "Good to see you again, Garrus."

"You know, if you want to meet up with me, you can just try sending me mail via holonet.  No need to scare Doran half to death."

Wrex chuckled.  "Not my style."  He got over and the two walked to a corner table.  Wrex signaled for a drink, some cloudy white alcohol Garrus knew Wrex liked but tasted like paint thinner mixed with oil to both Alenko and Shepard.  He ordered nothing; he was technically still on duty, and it just didn't seem right.  Never mind what Shepard would say.

Wrex took a long pull of his drink.  "So what's new with you?  Besides the Spectre gig."

"Ah...I'm seeing someone.  That and the Spectre thing is about it."

Wrex smiled.  "You and Shepard, huh?"

Garrus froze.  "How...that's not public knowledge...not that I want to hide it...but..."

Wrex waved off his stuttered protests and took another pull of his drink.  "Eh, knew it from back when we were chasing Saren.  You liked being bossed around.  You liked being shown you were wrong.  You liked being shown the other way was better.  More surprised she was interested, after all that went down with Alenko."

Garrus shrugged.  "It was a while later.  It just...seemed right."

Wrex nodded.  "That's how these things work."

Garrus gave him a look.  "Urdnot Wrex waxing poetic about love?  I may die from the shock."

Wrex coughed.  "Well, maybe I'm getting soft in my old age."  He finished his drink and stood.  "Look, I hate to get going just after you get here, but I've got to meet someone."

"Oh?"  Garrus was intrigued.

Wrex grinned widely.  "Yup.  Got a date.  With Aleena."

Garrus was stunned.  "You...can't do that on the Citadel, Wrex.  C-Sec will be all over you after the first shots..."

Wrex cut him off.  "Wrong kind of date.  See you around, kid."

He left the bar, leaving Garrus staring in wonder.
