Hello, Internet-land. I know many of you have been assimilated into the evil empire we know to be Facebook, but here's one DSL Surfer that they won't get their slimy claws o-- OOOH, people's faces with squares around their heads -- no, NO! Bad Christopher! It's Livejournal that loves you! LIVEJOURNAL!
*ahem*
So the general status of me hanging by the skin of my financial teeth remains as is for now, although I have a temp job with HRM in Woodside to tide me over until the end of the week. I've called my (utterly useless) consultant at Spherion in an attempt to secure some kind of employment for next week. Ten bucks I don't have to gamble says that my efforts will translate into exactly zilch. That seems to be the theme for the last few weeks.
If things don't improve soon, I'll have no choice but to move back in with my parents again in September. My lease is up, and there's not much point of trying for another place without some kind of stable employment. On that topic, if anyone comes across work worth having that won't be like "SURPRISE! You aren't employed anymore!", do pass on the info to your old pal Showtime.
