woke up, spent a lot of time doing nothing. a little after lunch, some of us went to check out the high school on chichijima. they showed us around, including the english classes. imagine that, 34 kids in three grades in the whole damn school. interesting to see english being taught, and even that much more in japanese. we met the five third-year students, and they were all smartasses. scott, who was with us, and who also has quite the attitude himself, was like DAMN KIDS. heh.
right from there, we went to our taiko lesson. man, smacking that drum is so much fun. we learned another part of the song, and will be learning more tomorrow. came back, chilled for awhile. watched finding neverland with lydia and jess. pretty good film.
we haven't really been doing much here. and while i kinda feel bad for it, i also love it. no work, little hassle - good times. but boo for the crazy wind that's been blowing for the past few days, and continues even now.
tomorrow, we're heading off to the pottery place in the morning, then to the middle school and taiko in the afternoon. should be fun.
