I was all set to go to bed, and then I saw this. Best chapter so far, in my opinion; I love the tension building between Russia and America. It'll be interesting to see what happens with China and Cuba and the Vietnam War and all the nasty stuff associated with communism during the Cold War.

Okay, that was awesome (at least as awesome as all the previous chapters)

"But you just help everyone, don't you? And that makes the times you helped me amount to exactly nothing at all." ....oh, Russia. America's kinda right, in a way-he just doesn't get it. It makes one wonder a little how part of him could be so in love with America, since he doesn't really get who America is at all. Nevertheless: he (Russia) still desperately needs a hug-that's the overwhelming feeling I get for him through this ( ... )

I think Russia just can't fuckin' believe America, sometimes. I mean, he looks at America, and he sees this well-meaning, cocky, energetic, idealistic, generous kid, and he adores him, but there's this cynical part of his mind that goes: bullshit. He must have an agenda. People aren't like that.

And like, he knows he can always get a rise out of America by casting aspersions on his motives, because America does try so hard, and it bothers America so much when he doesn't live up to his own morals. So sometimes, Russia throws stuff like this out just to piss America off, regardless of whether or not he believes it.

That's how I see it, anyway.

now I'm just a little bit warmer and fuzzier inside for having found out what America and West Germany and the rest of the Allies pulled off in the winter of 48-49....

The Berlin Airlift is totally a warm-and-fuzzies enabler. IT IS HERO TIME NOW YOU GUYS.

It's one of the cutest stories ever! You know, before the candy manufacturers picked up on it and started making donations? American children were sending their own candy to Germany. I just. I almost can't stand it. ♥

Ohh, I remember this. Spent so many months studying it, but it's far more interesting when it's done with a Hetalia spin. Great work!
