I'm getting the feeling that the US/UK in this is going to be one-sided. America loves Russia who wants nothing to do with him, and he's only using the fact that he and England might one day be intimate to make Russia jealous. Argh, the way these two keep hurting each other is so hard to read. :<

I'm getting the feeling that the US/UK in this is going to be one-sided.

US/UK in my personal canon is...pretty complicated, actually; I actually wish we could get into it more in TCE, but suffice to say that I don't think it's the usual "England is pining for America in silence, America is a doofus" dynamic. The next chapter is actually going to be England and America, from England's POV, so that might shed some light on it. If anybody in the world is interested. I hope some folks are. XD

Sorry for butting in.
I'd be so interested in your opinion on UK & US!
To be honest I'm more for UK/US than RussiAmerica (should I be telling this here...?), but the ways UK/US are usually handled aren't always something I find reasonable. Their relationship to me is sort of like RussiAmerica, but radically different in essence (boy that's descriptive). SO... I'm so happy to hear there will be a bit UK/US (or whatever sequence it may be) coming up.

I would be happy to talk to you about it, but maybe in private messages rather than here in the comm. =D I doubt anybody would get their feathers ruffled, but just in case.

I agree. Personally, I am also more of an England/America fan than I am of Russia/America. Actually England/America is probably my favorite pairing in Axis Powers. Other than England/France, America/France, and Spain/France/Prussia but the Chosen End is what got me really interested in Russia/America as a pairing. Before I read this I always thought, oh the Cold War Russia and America completely dislike each other and then I read this and was completely blown away.

And before I get too far off subject, I would also love to hear your opinions on this pairing. I think I've heard you say that you dislike it before, which is why I haven't touched the subject but oh god, I love those two so much.

Also, I REALLY liked this chapter. Honestly, I don't want to say it's my favorite chapter to date (because looking back it probably isn't) but I really liked it. America drunk and running to Russia is just so him. Also. Also.

I-I do dislike it, yes, or at least, I dislike how it's portrayed in 90% of fandom. >_> I really don't want to cause any wank, though, so.

Because if Russia REALLY liked China, I think America would probably sit back. I don't think he'd do it quietly if he thought there was a chance at all of him and Russia but still.

Yeah, I agree. I mean, definitely, he'd put up a hell of a fight if he thought he had even the SMALLEST chance, but if Russia were like "Look, kid, we had some good times, but I have feelings for China and we take care of each other, and I don't want you to ruin this for me," America would step aside.

Also, were you trying to make this correspond with today's CMC prompt of Vulnerable? Because it appears that way.Hahaha, no, just a coincidence. =D We wrote this last week, we're just...lazy ( ... )
