it's my journal's 1-year birthday

my thoughts.

humans are the only species who live to lead extremely complicated lives. These lives suffocated by routines which are heavily enforced by self or the surrounding world. Look at the lives of the majority of other animals around us. They don't have required education, 9-5 jobs, relationship issues, marketing of the newest brand of clothes. The only work required by them is of that which enables their survival. Scouting for food, sleeping, creating nests/burrows, and mating. Humans on the other hand have forced education, work, homelessness, drugs, crime, clothes, decisions on what to wear, computers, cell phones, complex foods, almost everything that is used within our daily lives. We once lived this carefree type of lifestyle that most animals lived today. Hundreds of thousands of years ago when we were closer to the ape than the modern day human. Evolution happened. We evolve into smarter beings. As evolution continues more problems will happen. Thousands of years ago, people didn't have to worry about getting car-jacked. There were no cars. They didn't have to worry about taxes. They didn't have to worry about clothes. My idea is that along with evolution, our chances for utopia, or a perfect world decrease. In other words, the smarter and more sophisticated we become, the more we will face crime, depression, and violence. We are our own demise.
