I really enjoyed this. Poor Ian & Barbara not being able to have the usual wedding nerves, and then it's heartbreaking that she keeps having miscarriages. I love that they bring the Doctor in, but they never knew who he is and he never tells.

That's sweet. You really captured the monstrously frustrating experience it must have been for both of them, but especially Barbara, after returning to London. I also think your decision not to have the Doctor introduce himself was absolutely true to form for him, and properly kept the focus on Ian and Barbara. I liked it.

Miscarriages are, naturally, an extremely sensitive topic, but you managed to write about Barbara and Ian's experiences with incredible tact and emotion. It had me crying over my keyboard, which is a terribly rare occurence. And then, by the end of it, I was smiling through the tears.

The cameo from the Doctor - oh, Three - was perfectly handled, too.

That is really amazing. I think you handled several very sensitive subjects very tactfully, and perfectly in character. Also, ILU Three, charging and saving the day. There's a great deal of the repressed knight-errant in Three. Well done, and beautifully written.

This is very well done - I'm so impressed by where you took this past the beginning that I saw. Deals with some very serious subjects in a careful and realistic fashion, has romance and love just right (and manages to be extremely sexy without any actual sex!), and Three has a great role. This is a really great character study for everyone involved.

Thanks so much for participating in the ficathon!
