"Well ho-lee fuck, a couch built for two! Ain't these fancy hotels great?" So saying, he swept into the elevator, bypassing the attendant, whose posture abruptly and mysteriously improved. Spock could think of exactly nothing to do except nod at the scandalized couple and follow Kirk into the elevator. The elderly couple did not follow.
Ha! I love that you kept this scene in.
"Is that sarcasm, Spock? Aww, and here I thought you were starting out from square one." Jim felt his smile widen, and he knew his grin was probably verging on "shit-eating," but he couldn't help himself.
OMG! They rankle each other already. It's so adorable. True love for sure. I love their banter and reactions to each other.
And Smark!Jim rears his head for the win!
I love how he cut straight through all of Spock's BS by knowing exactly what Spock's thought process was and cornering him by nailing his situation in one. Awesome.
You know, I just love a curious Spock. There's something open and honest and somewhat vulnerable about curiosity. You could say it's a kink of mine and one of the reasons I love Spock so much. You've nailed it here and I love how Spock watches and observes but I really love how comfortable he always seems to be asking Jim to explain that which he doesn't understand. This entire story is pounding on my kink button. =)
