*MAJOR FLAIL*

OMG! That was nine kinds of awesome! I squealed, I gasped, I held my hand to my heart. I would have kissed the laptop screen. It was sweet, cute, funny, and sexy even without the porn. It's such a serenade to the K/S pairing and everything I could have asked for. I'll be reccing it!!!

Ahhhh, thank you!! I actually normally write much pornier plottier, straight-narrative stories, but K/S as a pairing has captivated me so completely for so many reasons that it was actually easy for me to write this. Thanks for reading! I promise the next fic I post will have way more pr0n in it!

That was so incredibly nice and so, so fucking real. Thank you. I mean it. Thank. You.

(Can you tell I have a thing for fictional characters in real relationships? The grit and mundane ARE part of the sexy. You get a hundred on the 'fuck yeah' scale, seriously.)

Ahahah, you're very welcome! I FEEL THE SAME. I actually think that (as much as I VERY much enjoy the "one true love" angle a lot of stories take, because: yes please!) it's that much more meaningful when relationships are written about as honestly as possible, because let's face it, no matter how much you love someone, they're gonna drive you bugnuts sometimes. We'd all have easy lives if relationships were perfect, but they're not, and it makes it that much sweeter when two people love each other so much anyway. /sap alert

Thanks for reading, and for the lovely comments! :D

I'm so pleased to be one of the first people to be able to comment on this. You did an excellent job of not idealizing the relationship and having everything come out so much better as a result. I could totally see this happening in exactly the way you describe. Love Sarek being the father in law from hell and Jim's difficulties with bonding. You rule. :)

Thank you so much! It's scary ending my lurk-dom and posting fic for the first time (I've been a bandom girl for years, and then I drank the kool-ade, oops), and I'm really glad it worked for you. The bonding/mind-melding thing is especially close to my heart, because my brother gets migraines from hell from doing almost any old thing, and I just can't see a human NOT having issues with doing something so alien to their psyche. So thank you very much! ♥

I don't know if I can be coherent. I am flailing in a most dramatic way over here. This is absolutely beautiful. Yeah.

See, intimacy isn't all kisses and secrets. It's bellyaches and gas and mood swings. It's all that unpleasantness that is so worth it cause the person you love, that person who loves you, is worth it. You really nailed the ins and outs of a real relationship here and I love you for it.

Off to save this in delicious now. <3

That was precisely what I wanted to capture, and I'm so glad it came through for you! Thanks for reading and commenting. :D
