But I didn't get him.

Oh well.

The rehersal venue was a bit far away anyway, so I was iffing as to whether I even should audition.

Sometimes they work like that,
but in this case, no.

But it's totally fine - its with the biggest musical society I've ever auditioned for, and I was really expecting to get it.
(usually, you have to play a chorus with them, before you get a part, so they get to know you).

Not always... but they do look favourably on people with training, and even then you have to ace the audition...
