The great rite

Not sure whether to be proud of this one or not. This is by far the most adult thing I have ever written, and yet.... And yet it needed an outlet. Let my know what you think.

They say the body is a temple. Her body certainly was. The initiate comes before the temple and worships. His lips recite a rosary to his goddess as his mind prepares for the mystery to be revealed. One by one the layers of cloth fall away and the light falls on the temple. The goddess reveals herself and the initiate whispers the sacred profanities. His mind is caught up, words of faith and awestruck love fall from his lips like rain from a cloud. Her skin is perfection, smoother than the finest silk, softer than rose petals, and more beautiful to behold than mountains of gold or silver. His hands glide over this natural treasure as he blasphemes everything he once loved.

When he finally can take no more, he falls upon his goddess like a wave upon the shore, cresting and retreating only to return a little faster and farther. She speaks the words of creation in his ear and he replies, speaking in tongues and crying out with exquisite agony. The goddess reveals her true nature and her initiate is trapped in a moment that never ends. He sees the whole majesty of creation laid out before him.

The goddess folds back into herself and her initiate falls crashing back into reality. The moment that was eternity has passed and he remains merely human. The goddess smiles upon her initiate, kisses him tenderly, and inducts him into the priesthood. The body is a temple, and mass must be said every day.
