Long, Rough Summer................
..............Seems like every time I make a blog these days, it's to complain. Oh well. It's a good way to vent. Things have been rough lately even though last week was awesome. Amy and I got married last week and it went fairly smooth, despite her mom having a nervous breakdown the morning of the wedding. We just had a small ceremony with parents, grandparents, and my sister and then a small reception with Aunts and Uncles etc. afterwards. I got to see my dad and sister for the first time since 1999 and meet my 8 and 4 year old nieces. It was a pretty awesome week.
Business has been somewhat slow since Summer hit. Then our TV blew up at the beginning of June. That was expensive to replace. We received just enough in gifts to pay it off from the wedding, which we weren't expecting much, but decided that anything we got would go to pay it off. Then this week, our refrigerator blew out. Did some research, talked to some repair guys, and they all said to throw it in the trash. Awesome. Then Amy sent me an email saying "check out this cool website!". I checked it out and it was a site that showed your home and surrounding homes values. Turns out we're about $16,000 upside down. Awesome. Never thought I'd get in trouble with an 80% of value loan. Rad. We'll be living here for awhile, that's for sure. To top it all off, business has slowed to a literal crawl and there's not much I can do about it. This winter and Spring were amazing and I saved a little money up, but with things breaking, constantly needing more/repairing gear, and no business coming in, it's going fast and it scares the shit out of me. What's gonna break next? Who's gonna cancel next cause they lost their jobs etc.? How many more damn kids with firepods are gonna open a "studio" and charge $50 a day taking away lots of business? Hopefully I can stay afloat and it's just a slow period, but I always freak out when this shit happens. Here's a few happy wedding photos after that bleak post. haha.
