So I got lost again. In the same damn place.
Last Tuesday I went to Rockwell to submit my entry for the Fully Booked-Gaiman contest. I managed to get there on time, thanks to judicious use of taxi-fu. The problem was getting home.
Now I've been to Rockwell a lot of times before. I've also commuted to and from there too. But I don't know what the hell happened. I guess I should've waited for the Ayala jeep, but I instead got on the first jeep I saw, and when I heard that it'd be going to Taft, I decided to wing it and just ride. BIG MISTAKE.
The damn jeep took more than an hour to get to Taft. And we passed by the Sta. Ana race track, which I've ended up in before... the other 2 times I got lost in Metro Manila. Bad sign, huh? Well, you know where the jeep eventually dropped me off? San Andres Bukid. Where I have wandered around in fear at 11 pm, not sure which way is North and which way is to Taft Avenue. CRAP.
But thankfully, this time the jeepney driver was nice enough to point me in the right direction and I managed to get to Taft Avenue, where I got on a jeep headed to Edsa.
30 minutes later, I was still in front of DLSU, which is only more than one LRT station from the place where I got on the jeep. So I got off the jeep and rode the LRT instead, figuring it'll be faster.
Yeah, it was faster, but the car I got on HAD NO LIGHTS ON. Can you spell scary? But I had a great view of all the goings on in the houses along Taft... which was scarier, actually.
Then I arrived at Libertad Station, got off, and walked home.
Crap. Why do I keep doing this?
PS: I'm uploading my contest entry in a friends-locked lj update immediately after this. If you wanna read it, log in.
