Gorillas in the Foam

H'ok, so I now have a new roommate. His name's Blake and he's relatively cool...though he does play WoW. He also likes to drink, but not all the fucking time like Hunter used to do, which is good. Things have been much better since David left, though the room still isn't entirely together. He managed to arrange the furniture so he could get most of his stuff in, but still has several large duffel bags sitting in the middle of the floor.

Classes suck, but that's to be expected. Intaglio and DTA2 are too fucking time consuming.

So some of you noted (Morris) that my AIM away message said that I was off doing something stupid...well, not so very stupid, but anyway: Dobie was having its annual foam party tonight and I was still on the fence about going. I'd skipped it the past two years and didn't know whether it was worth it to go. Blake decided he was going and getting drunk beforehand. His friend Phil (who coincidently is from Missouri City and lives in Quail Valley East, only a few blocks from me) came over and we chilled for a while, then the vodka was broken out, but things to mix it with were needed. As we went down we invited people to come up and chill. Some showed up, there was a bit of drinking (I didn't get drunk, but enough that it was barely starting to affect me,) some left. After that, Blake, Phil, another dude, and I went to the foam party. It took place at a club down on 6th street, so it was essentially a club atmosphere...which is something I'm not entirely comfortable with, since I've never been to an actual club before. So, while everybody was out in the foam humping each other (or near enough,) I attempted to get into it by just attacking the bubbles. I'm sure people thought I was weird, but I'm sure most were too drunk to remember after a few seconds. Eventually I sort of had my own kind of dance going while trying to catch bubbles to rave with. I got backed into plenty of corners by other people "dancing". I probably could have danced with almost any of the girls too, but yeah, random people I don't know...I'm not so comfortable with that. Eventually the foam stopped with about 45 minutes left...it pretty much sucked after that, which Phil agreed to. Though, people kept dancing. By the time we left we were wet and freezing. This other dude joined us and the 5 of us went for pizza, then back to Dobie. I am no longer cold and wet, and perhaps will sleep.

Yeah, so interesting adventures...methinks it'll be interesting having Blake as a roommate, especially if he drags me to parties and such as he has decided to persuade me to do.

Ok, I'm out...
