Starting Place
As a first entry I will start with our goals and plans for the next few years, by our I'm referring to me and my long-term boyfriend Stian. We are currently planning our first purchase of a dog in Norway. I have spent the pervious 20 years of my life so far in England surrounded by animals. I have a background in working with all sorts of animals - Cats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, monkeys, bears, porcupine, lynx and also the animal I am most interested in - Dogs. I've grown up breeding dogs, raising them, rehabilitating them. I've learnt alot over the years but still have alot to experience! My boyfriend on the other hand is very passionate about dogs but has never had the chance to own one himself so this will all be a HUGE challenge to him!
He lives in Norway, which is a lovely environment for animals compared to the UK so much nature, the country holds a far calmer attitude towards life than England. I have fallen in love with the country so much that I have moved my life there now. Our goal is to know work on Stian's dog skills and eventually open our own kennels but for now for me to teach him everything I've learnt working with them but there's no better learning than practical learning! So we have been researching into getting our first puppy in Norway!
I intend to use this online journal to follow our progression on our dream and our little puppy and to remind us where we started. I will also mention recommended reads, toys and excercises for your dogs, and how to work on certain behavior problems.
