my relaxation
during these days of complete relaxation i started watching the almodovar movies libby and casey gave me for my birthday. these movies are amazing and i've seen 6 out of the 9 movies i have and i've noticed a pattern in his movies.
one thing is he lvoes using the same actors in his film and sometimes even characters. in "flower of my secret" theres a small character who ends up being the main character in "all about my mother" and in fact both movies contain almost exact scenes about organ donation, what was really interesting was that in the same movie talksg about a novel that has the storyline from "volver" adn this movie is from 1995.
he also loves the trannys and fags, three movies i've already seen have drag queens or transvestites played by either men or women.
all movies concern with death or murder and most are filmed in a noir style, all movies are also orchestrated the same way.
so what i'm trying to say is that these movies are more like a giant piece that spans 20 years.
i just felt like sharing cause i love his movies and i can't wait to see the rest of them.
