come on...who doesn't want to hear why they're liked?
Well, for one, you are possibly one of the most genuinely caring people I've ever known. You actually want others to be happy, and you're genuinely upset when you think you've done something that hurt someone. I know lots of people who act like they are, but very few who are, and I really appreciate this quality in you. It reminds me to do my best to think about others as well.
For two, you are intelligent and honest and really like discussing difficult issues. We disagree on so many big issues, yet at the same time you're on of the first people I think of talking to when I want to figure out where I stand and what the truth is about major issues. I always know that talking to you will give me a new way to look at things without ever feeling like my own intelligence or humanity is being questioned or insulted. That is a REALLY rare quality, and another one that you make me feel like trying harder to possess myself.
Also, you were totally down with the elves and leprechauns and fairies and assorted other insanities I was into when we were kids, which was way fun :P
