Orienteering my way into college

Jun 09, 2004 09:12

I've been at U of M since monday doing my summer orientation. Actually I am at the U right now in the fishbowl in Mason Hall, for those of you who know this place. It has been a really great experience for me, meeting new people, a few upperclassmen. It has helped me to come out of my shell a little bit. I also learned fun new facts about the U and such.

At this point however, I am ready to go home. Sleep in my own bed, eat food that is better than the mediocre shit they serve here, and see some familiar faces. I have only seen two people I know this whole time (Steve Crompton and Jackie Dufek), but I have only seen them in passing. College life isn't too bad (especially without having to take classes), but I don't think I want to start it up until the fall. I need some time to just chill and get my shit together before college.

On a another note, I got placed into the fourth semester of german, which means that I only am required to take one semester of german at this great institution. And I get four free credits if I pass with a "B" or better. Can I get a harumph? (you know, harumph harumph harumph, from Calvin and Hobbes) I'm also planning on going to Cedar Point tomorrow, so this should end up being a pretty hectic week. Catch you later.
