once when i slept over rachel miller's house in third grade her mom made us oatmeal for breakfast. i never ate oatmeal but being the polite child i was, i tried it. it was mushy and disgusting. i think we put raisins in it. and i almost threw up after a few bites.

now i eat plain oatmeal every day for breakfast.
