It was the best of times, it was the blurst of times

There are many reasons that I could use to describe last night as just 'satisfactory', but we'll get into that soon enough.

It started innocently enough. Kat and I got everything ready and I parked the car in front of the hotel with hazard lights on waiting a large amount of time just to check in. Line-ups, and inconsiderate mumbo jumbo from the people in front of me caused a line of about eight people, when someone rushed in and informed anyone whose cars were out front were getting ticketed and towed. I got my way through the check in and raced outside only to see a man in a nice hat writing up a parking ticket. He warned me not to park, etc and let me go. FIRST CRISIS AVERTED.

Into the room, an almost exact copy of last years, even with the makeshift fridge idea. I got a few buckets of ice for the iced tea and Kat and I decided to go for a thirty minute swim/waterslide. Fun. Wee, wet. Two people one towel. That I'll save for another day, too.

Back to the room and a crack of the rum, and dress before the evening, phonecalls, etc. We went early to snag a table that ended up seating 5 couples and a single. Not too cramped, and the plywood, bouncy table didn't fare too badly. Drinks kept going and coming during supper in which right after we got up to get our main course, the rest of us got desert, a trend that followed most everyone after us. And then more drinks. Kat started feeling sick in the stomach area and went to lie down, and then more and more drinks. I kept making trips upstairs to re-fill my flask and steal cups of coke that we were supposed to be paying for.
There were a bunch of stupid things that went down (someone stole one of the raffle prizes - a gamecube, and then there was also a fashion show?), but I tried to drown it out with drinks. Danced with a girl to a slow song, fun ha.

And as the drinking went on, and the trips to the room continued, I realized somewhere in there that it wasn't going to be as much fun because nothing really seemed to be happening. Everyone decided to leave, pretty much in a rather quick fashion, and it was probably in part of the large disgusting looking security men types who kept everyone in check. Sure, I did some running around to some rooms that were filled to the brim with smoke - two rooms had DJ's in them, but that's not my scene. I'm not some clueless boring fuck who likes dance music.

Kat and I ordered a pizza and watched television, and just as I was lying in my underwear, people came back to interrupt us, and so I went with it for a bit, jumping on tables, pressing all the buttons in the elevator when i was leaving and people were entering, but it was a bust. No fun. The best part about this year's party was that the most fun parts were the small little things with my girlfriend. The pool, the pizza, the sleep, the waking up beside. Other than that it was pretty much a monotonous party that you'd leave early from because all the interesting people were too busy trying to look good in front of people than let loose for once.
