I think this might be one of the harder rounds! They're all so insane (including the real one).

Number 5 resulted in actual coffee on the screen.

Heh, such is the way of the romance novel! Good luck guessing the right one...

Oh aye, it should not be inferred from my comment that I'm no longer considering it as a contender!

These are all disturbingly obsessed with our heroine's hair....

And the mooooon, and things that glitter. And the sea of course, but that kind of goes with the territory.

And lo, it changes colour! Sometimes it's titian/copper coloured, sometimes it's dark! Could any of these descriptions be the truth?

Number five is hilarious. I doubt it's the real first line, but it's my absolute favorite, so whoever wrote it: I salute you.

I'm okay with a little overlap, so long as the next game doesn't start until one turn after the current game has gotten submissions for the last book's first line.

(So starting the next round's first line submissions while doing the voting on the previous one's last book's submissions.)

Speaking of which, when does book 3 of this round show up?

I think it's too early for heaving bosoms -- they happen round about the end of chapter 2, IIRC.
