Good news and bad news.
Arkansas public school science teacher says faculty are forbidden to use the “e-word” (evolution). More: “I am instructed NOT to use hard numbers when telling kids how old rocks are. I am supposed to say that these rocks are VERY VERY OLD…but I am NOT to say that these rocks are thought to be about 300 million years old.”
At this point, I'm lost for any sort of response. How does one respond to actions and ideas so ignorant, stubborn, intolerant, and hypocritical as this? Arkansas, you made Jesus cry.
The good news is that I haven't had to go to Joshua Springs Institution of Correctional Brainwashing and Intolerance Brood or JSICBIB in about a month, and won't have to this weekend either. We'll see if I can weasel my way out of it next Sunday.
