[Dias has been hiding out in his house ever since his brief and ill-fated adventures as a vampire and his death at Albedo's hands, brooding in guilt and shame. In other words, the usual. So it's only in passing a pile of mail Celes left out on a table that he even notices an unusual envelope with his name on it

[Archer has been frequenting the park himself lately - the open fields make it easy to practice his returned projection. Not expecting to see a tree fallen on the ground though. He won't notice Dias right away, a bit more interested in his work.]

[Dias doesn't draw attention to himself immediately, rather taking the opportunity to study the stranger examining his handiwork. There's a little distance between them, so he can't gather too much, but he can tell the man moves like a fighter, which is a point in his favor.]

Hey. [For Dias, this is a fairly affable greeting.]

[Archer turns his head when Dias talks, getting a certain air from the other. Not even taking a notice of a destroyed tree...]

I suppose you're the one who did this?

Yeah. I was practicing.

You were returned something then?

One of my moves. Most of the strongest ones stopped working when I got here, for some reason...

That's what this town does. Strips us of all our powers and leaves us as normal as one can be. Infuriating, but not a lot we can do.

I know how it works - just seems strange they can make a move stop working right. [Dias shrugs.]

...who're you? Haven't seen you around before.

If they can imprison us in a different reality then I can't be surprised anymore by them.

I've been here...awhile. [Dias decides he doesn't want to count the months. Several, at least.] Dias.

[He makes a slight hum and turns back to the tree]

What sort of power tore it up so badly?

[the_bloody_road]

Mine. [Dias sounds a bit self-satisfied on this point, but he also doesn't seem like he intends to elaborate.] I'm not just going to hand you the secrets of my techniques, you know.

[He figured that much, but he isn't facing you just yet Dias. Just taking a look at the tree to analyze it some.]

I'm not interested. Tearing up trees isn't a hobby of mine.

It's not mine, either. But you can't really use a move like that when you're just sparring.

A move that causes fatality then?

[the_bloody_road]

Not always, no. But it's hard to block and usually does a good bit of damage.
