John wasn't sure what the island normally looked like, having arrived after it changed, but he was conflicted about its current appearance. The Victorian period held one of the happier times of his life, but also one of the darkest. He was thankful that there was no Whitechapel here, already it was hard enough to be here. It seemed as if half the population of this place consisted of blonde young women, dressed in period clothing. Or at least something akin to period clothing. His own outfit was not necessarily entirely accurate, but he liked it all the same.

He had taken to morning walks, trying to distance his thoughts from the downward spiral they so easily could take here. Instead he focused on how the snow crunched under his feet, more pristine in a way that was not common during the time. Not that any representation of Victorian London could ever be CLEAN.

"I wonder if some representation of Saint Nicholas will make an appearance on Christmas," he mused out loud. "Or perhaps some version of him is already here on this island?"

[Come hang out with Jack the Ripper and have a chat! No trip to Victorian London is complete without it! John Druitt's first public appearance. ST/LT always welcome.]
