Dated October 15, 2011: That soft chuckle of Steve's said so much more than his words to her. "You love him bunches?" she asked abruptly, seeing no reason to dance around the real reason she'd come. She needed to know her friend's love loved him back just as much- the way it was meant to be.
The way she phrases her question draws a smile from him, a brief upturn at one side of his mouth, crooked amusement as he takes a bite of his own cookie to partly hide it. He says as much to Danny all the time, in so few words, but it feels different somehow to share it with another.
After hearing some unsettling things about Steve, Savannah goes to visit the man to see if he's really worthy of Danny's love and devotion. She finds a man who is good and honorable- and one who reminds her of a certain Army Ranger she once loved.
