Joint Pup & Gathering Post
Lex had never been to an amusement park.
And honestly, he'd never thought much about them, nor was he sure he'd ever have wanted to go to one if they hadn't been deemed below a Luthor heir. It just wasn't his type of fun, even as a child. But there was something about the entire island turning into one that bared some exploring. The main island seemed to consist of mainly rides and he'd heard that the second island, usually a place shrouded in mystery, was where the true amusement part experience was to be had. So, he boarded the monorail and rode over to see for himself.
On the train with him was a young woman who, for some reason felt the need to carry a staff with her, was excitedly asking everyone around her about the current state of the island and how it compared to similar experiences back where they were from. When she asked him, he could only smile politely and comment that he had about as little experience as she did.
When they reached the second island, Lex exited the train and couldn't help overhearing a very energetic conversation coming from a pair exiting the next car over. It was one of Anatoly's teenage charges, Cassie, and an older man with a pronounced southern accent, locked in a conversation that seemed to quickly span the Jurassic Park themed ride that now went into Dinosaur Country on the main island and which amusement park games were most likely rigged. It didn't surprise Lex one bit to see them head off towards said games as the conversation got quite competitive in tone.
Shaking his head, Lex thought a first stop would be to get something to drink so his first destination was the cluster of food carts near by. There, he spotted Helen's Beagle and the poor man who had the unfortunate luck of resembling someone from Lex's past with more food between them then Lex could imagine eating in a week. It seemed Xander was instructing his wide eyed, grinning student in the American art of being able to fry just about anything that Lex had discovered first hand thanks to the Smallville Country Fair.
Having suddenly lost his appetite for even something to drink, Lex headed off to find something else to experience. What exactly was a 'Fun House' anyway?
