It's only a few weeks into the school term and, if Olive were sensible, she'd be studying. Today's a light day, meaning she has plenty of time to do so, if she just buckles down, and it's not like she isn't a focused, disciplined student when she wants to be. Even without these grades contributing to the college applications she won't be writing

Natalia is not at all averse to using her skills for minor evils. The sight of Olive giggling over a magazine proves too great a temptation to resist, and Natalia reads over her shoulder for sometime before making her presence known, turning her head in time with Olive's as they survey the images in unwitting tandem.

"You'd be surprised."

"Holy shit," Olive exclaims, rolling up into a sitting position and instinctively pulling the magazine over her chest, like the cover's actually any kind of an improvement over the article she's been reading. "You surprised me. You - were you reading it? That is - wow, God, you're a ninja."

"Skimming," chirps Natalia, seating herself next to Olive in the sand. "I'm thankful they included pictures for some of these, I'm not sure I'd recognize a ..." She leans over to check the too glossy image. "An arc de triomph based on the description alone."

"Oh, yeah," Olive says, nodding, "it's... very thoughtful of them. However detailed the description may be." She was pretty sure things like that were supposed to come wrapped in brown paper or something like that, but who is she to criticize an open expression of sexuality? It's just the details that alarm her in places. "Maybe it's just me, but some of these seem like they should only be tried by experienced contortionists."

Natalia laughs. "Perhaps." Though again, Olive might be surprised. "Enjoy the flexibility of youth while you can. But," she adds, "there's certainly nothing wrong with building up to certain..." She looks back at the page. "Aspirations."

It's maybe a weird thing to think about, but Olive has a feeling Natalia doesn't have to worry about having left her flexibility in her youth. She's more than proven that in lessons. "Don't you feel silly bending around like that?" she asks, and it's non-judgmental, entirely earnest. Certain amounts of bending and twisting and propping up are one thing, but Cirque du Soleil acts, she suspects, would just make her uncomfortable and self-conscious.

"Well," says Natalia thoughtfully, leaning on her elbow. She's not one to mince words when they need to be heard, and though Olive is young, she'd much rather know for certain that she hears about this sort of thing from someone who wishes her well. Natalia certainly better fits that picture than does a magazine.

"One always feels a bit silly when delving into the unfamiliar. Especially," she says with a quirk of her mouth, "when one is naked. But if you can't laugh with a partner, you shouldn't be with him at all, and if you do, say...oh yes." She brightens. "What they call the Pinwheel correctly, you'll soon be too distracted for laughter."

Olive bites her lip, grinning as she nods, cheeks slightly flushed. It's still an instinctive reaction when talking to people outside of Eduardo and her family, one that's mostly just physical since it's hard to be especially embarrassed after her parents and Rhi and how open they always were. If anything, it's Eduardo's hesitation to talk about these things candidly that's unfamiliar.

"Fair point," she says. "And we do, we... we laugh. I'm not worried about that, so... you're right. But one question." She wrinkles up her nose, serious. "What is a Pinwheel?"

"It..." starts Natalia, her face tight with a concentration she normally reserves for combat. "I begin to understand why they rely so heavily on pictures," she says with a sudden laugh. "But perhaps that's just as well. Your Eduardo is very young, and it's a position that can lend itself to...premature events."

Olive lets out a laugh that's part gasp and nods, brow raised. "Duly noted," she says. "So maybe save that for another time in the, the future then." It's oddly reassuring to hear Eduardo spoken of as young, though. In spite of their age difference and the teasing, she often thinks the same, but when most of her friends are her age, he tends to stand out as the odd one out. "I'll take your advice over theirs any day."
