It was too fast to see but for only a second, and she felt the pain blossom in her shoulder, but when she looked down, there was no blood, just a quickly dissolving bruise as the impact re-directed the bullet's path. It shot through the window and right for the kitchen, and Beckett could only shout out in warning, a helpless cry.
A seemingly uneventful morning is rocked by the appearance of an object from Beckett's future.
