The last time Pete Campbell was engaged, he hadn't had much of a hand in arranging the wedding that followed. As he stands in front of the bookshelf now, he can't say that he thinks it was much of a loss. He isn't complaining, not when there are still butterflies flitting around in his stomach, but the sheer volume of titles on the shelves (Wedding Planning for Dummies, The Knot Ultimate Wedding Planner, etc.) is more than a little intimidating. His expression says as much, mouth slightly ajar, eyes wide, brow furrowed and, all in all, more lost than he's really looked since his arrival on the island.

Funny, he thinks. The proposal seems almost easy in comparison.

A quarter of an hour later finds him ensconced in one of the chairs in the area, surrounded by a number of the books presented to him by the shelf. While no wedding on the island is going to be typical in any way, it's the sort of affair that he'd like to do his best in making good. He isn't taking any notes in his perusal of the bookshelf's offerings, but he still seems fairly involved in his reading.

There's a lot more involved than he would have expected, although that isn't saying much considering how little thought he's ever put into the matter until now. They won't have to deal with a lot of it, admittedly (the island takes care of that), but regardless. Better safe than sorry.
