Once upon a time, Johnny Maxwell had been quite good at naming things. That wasn't much really, but Johnny didn't have any other talents to go on. Yo-less was clever, Wobbler got computers, Bigmac could be hotwire a car in twenty seconds, and Kirsty was good at everything. Naming things was really all he could do up against competition like that. So that was why they were Yo-less and Wobbler and Bigmac. Because Johnny had named them and then nicknames had fit and stuck until eventually you forgot they'd ever even had proper names. The only person who'd never really had a nickname of his own* was Johnny himself.

Unfortunately, he was having the same trouble on the island. All around him were scattered papers full of drawings and blocks of scribbled text. Closer examination would show them to be hand-drawn comics, most of them traced from more legitimate sources, showing the misadventures of a female hero and her boy sidekick. The girl had the power to blow things up with her voice, while the boy's only apparent power was the ability not to be blown up by said voice. There were monsters and villains of varying quality, a lot of accidental exploding things in the background, a general uncertainty when it came to anatomy in general, but especially female.

As of now he was calling it The Adventures of Loudmouth and Generally Useless Lad.

The second part didn't quite have the ring to it that he wanted, but Johnny kept on working anyway.

*Apart from the short period of time when he was known as Rubber.
