River didn't watch the television in the rec room very often; nobody knew where where it got its signal from, and she didn't trust it not to be dangerous. Still, sometimes it caught her attention and, increasingly as she grew older, Zoe's. Today they were both held enthralled by something called "The Muppet Show."

Song and dance segments shared by puppets and humans played across the screen to their delight. River was pretty sure her favorites were the ones about Pigs in Space, but she was also pretty amused by the singing Chef, too. Everything she saw appealed to her sense of absurdity.

Right now it was showing a performance of a man and a bunch of pigs singing a song about counting bananas that seemed to have become an instant favorite of Zoe's. She stood in front of the television, dancing and singing along with the counting parts and shrieking with laughter when the Muppet who was supposed to bring the bananas brought things like onions and eggplant instead. River was having as much fun watching her as she was watching the show itself.

[Mention any Muppet Show segment if you'd like to walk in on a specific one. There are lots to choose from.]
