Early in the morning, Auggie and Annie resume the hand-to-hand training they've always done back home. And, much like back home, it eventually involves him getting clocked in the face.

On the morning of power plot, Auggie wakes up with a whole new colorful view on things and Annie finds out she suddenly can fit right in with The Matrix characters.
More importantly though, the former finally gives Auggie a chance to 'see' the face of his best friend for the last two years.

Not wanting to waste the opportunity of having any kind of sight back at all, Auggie asks Wolf to take him to see the dinosaurs he's heard so much about. It's just the kind of action he's been craving.
