All morning, Gabrielle had been hearing about people gaining extraordinary powers and about both the celebrating and disasters that usually came with such a thing. She wanted to help those who needed comforting and it had taken a while but she'd finally come up with something she knew most people would like.
Back home on Potedea, Gabrielle had actually liked baking. It was one of the few chores on the farm she had liked. Mostly, it was because she liked the reaction she got from people when they ate what she made. What could she say, whether it was with baked goods, stories, or a good mix of both, Gabrielle liked to make people smile.
After a few hours of work, she had a basket of a few different kinds of Greek cookies, fresh from the oven: koulourakias, melomakarona, traditional ouzo and, her favorite, the spicy krasokouloura. Some of the recipes had had to be adapted to island ingredients but she felt they stayed true to what she used to make at home.
Then she set out on the path, basket under her arm, wanting to spread at least a little comfort on a hard day.
[Set for Friday afternoon/evening. Gabrielle's power is Tactile Attraction, aka anyone who takes a cookie from her and touches her hand will fall in complete puppy love with her for as long as she is touching them. She hasn't figured it out yet and being Gabby, she's going to be giving as much comfort as possible, including comforting touches and hugs. I want to keep this mostly light but angst about sudden feelings for someone is okay too. Great time to meet her too!]
