Every morning, there it is.
Salvatore’s presence in the compound has thusfar been unobtrusive to the extreme - he’s quiet, he is capable of entertaining himself with a book or sketching, and he does his best not to intrude on others in the shared quarters. He wakes up early of his own accord and is quiet on his way out. He’s neat.
But there’s only so many times he can see that bowl on the counter. Who on earth did that? There were teenagers everywhere, and didn’t anyone know this sort of thing could give them the wrong idea? Sal’s uncomfortable with even the implications that the bowl gives off. It radiates the sort of thoughts he spends an active amount of his time not thinking.
On the sixth day after his arrival, it disappears. Not entirely, it simply relocates out of sight, far into the back of the second drawer down (not the one with the toothbrushes). As an afterthought, it’s been covered in handtowels.
Things Salvatore can apparently handle:
1. Leaving everything behind.
2. Winding up on a magical island with no one he knows on it and no explanation.
3. Very early mornings and living in shared quarters.
Things he just can’t take:
1. Having to stare at not just one, or a box, but an entire bowlful of condoms while he brushes his teeth.
The perpetrator goes on with his business. The laundry room is a source of much mystery - he’s seen automatics before, but these don’t look like any of the sort he’s familiar with. He’d always turned his laundry in to a cleaner’s, before Kitty had done it for him. It’s just not a man’s job to do laundry - but how hard can it really be?
Sal seems unable to even locate the mechanism to turn the washer on. There are things written on it, but they make no sense. What could ‘colorfast’ possibly mean? He looks under the lid for the tub, to either side of the unit, and is utterly unable to locate the series of steps that appear to be required to turn the machine on.
[ooc: Want to confront him about the condoms? I’m game! Otherwise, find him in the laundry room staring helplessly at the machines. ST/LT always fine but warning! I can be spammy!]
