In retrospect, Geoffrey may have overestimated his building skills.

It looked like an easy enough task for anyone over the age of about ten. Some bad weather or jungle animal or feral child had loosened a couple of boards at the front of the stage overnight (and he knows it has to have been overnight because any longer than that and Duck would probably have fixed it before he even noticed). Certainly nothing that the swing of a hammer couldn't fix; even with his limited experience, he could tell that much. So Geoffrey fetched a hammer instead of his husband and decided he could fix it himself.

Somehow, this led to him catching his pant cuff on a loose nail, tripping off the stage and ending up on his back on the ground with his leg in the air. No amount of tugging and struggling has managed to free him yet.

Years of watching Duck has given him a better overall understanding of how things are constructed, but the actual skill of constructing things continues to elude him.

He should probably call for help.

Any moment now.

Or maybe just a few more seconds of fierce tugging will free him before he has to admit what he did.
