Dated Late July, 2011: His touch, just one soft touch, I felt like I'd been starving to death and had finally found a meal. One touch and I wanted more. I wanted it all. It wasn't fair how he could break down my resolve with only his hand.

"You do deserve it," I said, my voice weak and soft as more tears began to fall. "I hate you so much, Daniel Jackson."

I used to be good at lying. If not good, at least convincing. Somehow the words that left my lips sounded exactly the opposite of what they meant.

"I know," Daniel said softly. He searched her eyes. All he'd ever had to do was look in her eyes to see how much she cared. He should have had faith and instead had relied on those eyes to tell him that she didn't know him at all. Now, though, now those eyes were telling him that she still loved him. Maybe she didn't trust him and she had reason not to, but trust could be rebuilt.

After weeks of avoiding him, Vala runs into Daniel and they have the talk both of them has been dreading. He lied by omission and broke her trust. She avoided him and let the pain fester. When all the words tumble out, coupled with tears and touches, the pair reconciles and make their way home. Together.
