Of all the people Alexis thought she'd ever be getting romance advice from, even after coming to the island, the seemingly ditzy and Valley girl-esque goddess of love from those shows in the '90s was definitely not one of them - and yet here they were, sitting in the kitchen over lunch, chatting away about Alexis' love life, or more accurately, lack thereof.
The island just got weirder by the day.
Aphrodite, for her part, is thrilled to impart her totally bitchin' wisdom on such a sweet young thing, just that age when young love is at its most awesome and its most gnarly. She isn't surprised at all that Alexis seems pretty receptive to her comments, and they end up talking a while, about her boyfriend that disappeared - Aphrodite so totally gets that, what a bummer - to recent events, and what might happen in the future. She's totally dropping some pearls of wisdom right here, and it's thrilling as always.
"Wow, I'd never thought about it that way," Alexis replied, nodding at what Aphrodite had just said. She'd listened to everything, silently accepting some things and discarding others, and she didn't know why it surprised her that someone so seemingly flighty would prove to be so insightful. She'd listened to Aphrodite's radio show a couple of times, after all. "Thanks, Aphrodite! I'm really glad we talked." She stood, then, and took her dishes to wash them, and it was only then she noticed Aphrodite didn't have any; she'd only eaten an apple.
"Hey, anytime, sweet pea!" Aphrodite enthuses in response, getting up as well and tossing her apple core in the trash. "You come see me anytime you want to gab." With that, she throws Alexis a wink before breezing out of the kitchen.
Alexis just laughed softly and went back to washing her dishes. She so had to tell Billy about this.
