Boring. If there was one word to describe the island, that definitely had to be it. Nice weather and a couple of tiki bars might have seemed exciting for the middle-aged set, but for seventeen year-old Pepper Potts, it was like being in exile. There was nothing to do.
This was why when the subject of prom of come up between Karen and herself, the two had jumped on the idea. Passé as it was, it was still more entertaining than their other options, which included such festive activities as reading old copies of Cosmo and watching The Love Boat. Besides, they had a gym just sitting there, waiting for someone to do something with it that didn't involve an excess of sweat.
There weren't any decorations, but the lights were turned down low and there were simple refreshments. They might have been in need of entertainment, but there was really only so far Pepper was willing to go for something so spur of the moment. It didn't really matter, anyway: Put a bunch of teenagers in a dimly-lit room with a little music and the rest took care of itself.
