There seemed to be a few advantages to waking up in an older body; kissing boys got easier and funner yet more confusing, bikinis seemed to fit her a hell of a lot better then they did before and she absolutely loved doing things. She could run faster, longer and more elegantly- gone were the days of tripping over her own awkward growing limbs. She could jump and climb and she loved doing everything. Absolutely everything. Being a grown up was so much fun.
Climbing up the to the top of the waterfall Coraline peeked over the edge before taking a step back. Reaching absentmindedly for Jake's hand, Coraline grasped thin air before she remembered today she was doing it on he own. Today, she was doing everything on her own because she was old enough to do it.
"Okay, you've done it before. It's easy, come on Cora-Caroline. One, two, three!" Coraline said taking a step back before she leaped and jumped off the waterfall, laughing and shrieking as she jumped. Coraline splashed loudly, slipping under the water as she swam towards the side.
Coraline emerged from the water glistening and gasping for breath. Laughing Coraline re-adjusted her bikini and swam to the edge of the water. Brushing her hair back with both hands, Coraline let her wet her spill down her back and stretched out. Coraline smiled as she noticed someone and waved at them.
"Hi!" Coraline greeted, stretching in the bikini before climbing up the rocks onto dry land. "Isn't it a great day?"
