Okay, maybe the music's a little too loud. But if people are coming in for breakfast then they want to wake up, and if they want to wake up then a little old school punk is a good way to do it. He still misses Claudia's radio show playing while he's working breakfast, but some days he manages to put together a decent substitute. And okay, maybe he shouldn't start singing along every other song, but come on. Priestly can wail when the mood strikes him.
And it certainly doesn't impact the quality of breakfast. It's not like he's making a soufflé or something. Though now that he's thinking about it he kind of wants to try that one of these days, when there's an excess of eggs and he can afford to botch a few attempts. Not that they won't be delicious even if they fall, because Priestly's meals are nothing if not delicious.
Today's just eggs straight up, though. Scrambled, fried, over easy, what's your pleasure. Some days you're in the mood for a sweet breakfast, fruit and pancakes and piles of jams and syrups, and some days you're just not. Today's a not, and what Priestly's in the mood for, everyone else gets too.
So today it's eggs and toast and coffee and music loud enough to make the utensils vibrate.
