A sign from heaven above

Boyd is a free man. In the physical sense, at least.

Although he suspects that Raylan does not feel he has fully paid for his perceived crimes, Boyd knows he is glad to have his house back. He wishes it were not so he could continue fornicating with his stripper, but he will continue to pray for him.

He packed up his meager belongings and the small, wooden altar that God had seen fit to send him in his direst hour of need. God's mercy is truly boundless and although He still does not see fit to speak to Boyd, He surely must be watching over him. Watching over his failures and hearing his pleas for guidance. Boyd knows there are many here who wish him to leave but there are just as many who still show him kindness and they are the ones that spur on his fervent search for His Truth. His purpose for Boyd. Perhaps the church would be a good home for his new gift. A new start for him.

The house is a little musty after months of being shut up and Boyd has no desire to be indoors on this fine day. He will take his Bible and start praying for the people of this place. God desires a heart on fire for Him. He desires no rest for the weary. He desires a fervent and violent sort of love. He starts for the Compound and as he rounds the bend leading up to the front, it's like magic. There it is, hanging in a tree from its harness. The last time Boyd saw his rocket launcher, he'd been tossing it in the back of his truck, right after blowing up that Meth truck. It was that night that spurred on his daddy's revenge, the murder of his men, and his daddy's own murder. Doing God's work. Doing God's hard and thankless work. It is surely a sign. It's the most obvious of signs. There's no way he'll make it back home without someone noticing. God must have chosen to put it in a visible place as a sign to Boyd, rather than a weapon to utilize. There are so many other options, anyway.

He takes it down and slings it onto his back, closing his eyes and breathing in the sweet, hot air. His God is truly a God of patience and love.

[ooc: Yeah, so. Boyd got his item. It looks like the rocket launcher in his icon. He's wandering around outside the Compound with it. Raylan will be the one to 'officially' turn it in but your pup can take it from him, too if they feel so compelled.]
