There had been a time when Jack's Friday night would have included experiencing seven or more simultaneous pleasures in the Lotus galaxy, or maybe drinking hypervodka martinis while chatting up the local girls on Borak 4. Or maybe he'd have been busy at a real bacchanal. Those were always fun. And you couldn't have more fun than getting arrested in Serpent City where the buildings were all clear and the whole place glinted and gleamed and due process took the better part of a week.
But that was before.
This particular Friday night consisted of finishing off the laundry and then stopping off in the kitchen with a bag of freshly folded clothes, sheets, and towels so he could grab something to eat. He settled on some rice krispies from the pantry since he'd already eaten dinner and wasn't that hungry. There was the telltale snap, crackle, and pop when he poured milk over them. Amazing food, rice krispies. He'd only ever had them on earth, but they made something similar on a planet he'd visited...except they were dried larvae and while they made wonderful popping noises, they didn't taste the same at all.
Jack wondered for a minute if he might find some of those in the TARDIS. You could find most anything in the TARDIS, given enough time. The things the Doctor had stored in closets and cupboards was truly unbelievable.
Jack stood at the counter and thought about that. All the things he'd found in the cupboards and closets in the time he traveled with the Time Lord. So many weird and wonderful things. Collected bits from all over the universe. Kind of like his companions, Jack thought. It made him smile as he ate his cereal.
Tomorrow, he decided, he'd go to the TARDIS and poke around, just to see what he could find. It would be an adventure.
[It's always a good time to meet him. Come have some rice krispies or a late night cup of tea in the kitchen. Timed to late Friday night]
