Priestly's never been That Guy, the one who can get an entire club shut down for a private event. He's pretty sure he used to make fun of That Guy, actually. But somehow here on the island, well, he kind of is. That or other, more powerful, people think Brooke deserves as awesome a birthday party as he does

She feels raw, scraped skin and like eggshells broken on a kitchen floor and the world is spinning. She feels like she is drowning and then there is nothing, light and everything is warm and beautiful. And She, Delight, is holding her own hand and telling her it will be okay. She can hold them together. Frightened, fleeting, loving until she can hold herself together. Without glue, without string, without anything but herself. They'll be okay.

"It'll be okay," Del tells herself and smiles in delight at the party around her-them. "Let's find the birthday girl and kiss her. Okay?"

"Oh hey!" Rachel shouts over the music, a little louder than necessary. "It's you. Are you trying to kiss Brooke?"

She's a tad drunk.

Del tilted her head, staring at her for a moment before smiling brightly at Rachel. Del bobbed her head up and down at the question. At least they were in agreement they were going to kiss Brooke.

"Hey, yes hmm me." Del replied talking fairly quickly. She nodded before shaking her head. "Oh, yes but not trying. I'm going to kiss Brooke, maybe."

"Does Brooke know that?" she wonders out-loud, juggling her extra drinks. "You might want to warn her...even though I think you should totally do it."

It'll be hilarious.

"Nope, then it wouldn't be a surprise." Del said grinning. Del liked surprising people whether it was Asher and announcing her pregnancy or telling people they were beautiful or waiting until someone had a mouthful of food before telling them it was made from something weird. "Maybe I should tell her though and then do it. What are they? Can I have one?"

Delirium didn't usually drink, there was a reason why but Del couldn't quite remember.

"Whiskey, and of course you can," Rachel says, handing one over. "Just knock it back in one go. It burns a little. But back to the kissing. I think you have a point. You should probably just go for it. The alcohol will help."

Del took the glass, knocking it with her fingers before she drank it almost immediately. Del's face went from vague to scrunched up to confused to delighted in quick succession. Del coughed, stomping her foot as she tried to chase that taste and burn away.

"I think- I think I should have more alcohol then if it will help. I want Brooke to enjoy Brooke kissing. Have you kissed Brooke?" Del asked as she held out the empty glass and an empty hand for one of her other extra drinks.

"You know what, I have kissed Brooke," she says before handing over another shot. "Which, let me tell you? Getting to kiss two hot redheads? She should count herself lucky."

Even if this one is bonkers.

"Lips that kissed hers," Del said pointing at Rachel's lips before smiling. Del wondered if she kissed Rachel would it count towards kissing Brooke, she didn't think it would so she just drank the other glass in one go. It made her feel all warm and fuzzy. "She's very lucky. She's the whole world inside her burning bright and all kinds of- I was there when the world began, its kind of like that all dark and beautiful and then BANG everything has meaning. She's beauty. You're hot."
