While George had to admit that an island full of sweets and candy was a great deal better than people involuntarily falling in love with each other, he couldn't help but wonder how many people would wind up making themselves sick over it. Even George, who'd only gone up to the compound for a few last minute Valentines Day supplies, had partaken, tentatively eating what had turned out to be some sort of chocolate flower, so he dreaded to think what people who'd been missing sweets a great deal more than he had might do.

Dear God, he really hoped all of the animals hadn't transformed as well. That was just what the island needed, half-eaten boars made out of caramel.

After he'd gathered a few things in a rucksack-- a few extra vegetables, some spices he was sure he'd need-- he started back. He still needed to talk to Annie and Mitchell about just what the "situation" for the evening was going to be, after all. Frankly, he was in favor of giving Annie the run of the hut for the night, just because it didn't seem quite fair, otherwise. Unless they flipped a coin or something, but that just seemed a bit ridiculous.

Now, he'd noticed the new posters that had been pinned up around the Compound, but hadn't paid them much attention. After all, he'd worked in a hospital and they looked no different than the ones that got pinned up on the notice boards there. They even came complete with ridiculous slogans. He'd even laughed to himself at a few of them. That was, until he noticed one poster in particular. With his face on it. Several times and in increasingly unflattering positions.

"...oh my God." He stopped. Then he removed his glasses, hurriedly cleaned them on the edge of his shirt, then replaced them, blinking up at the poster in horror.

"This isn't-- I don't-- I don't have a venereal disease!" he shouted, then whirled around, as if he'd find the perpetrator right there.
