Amy Pond was on a space ship. Or a space station, if someone was about to get technical. Regardless, she was in space which was the far more important thing to grasp about this. Sure it was a bit dodgy how she came to be in space, but walking through a portal was honestly one of the less strange things that had happened her. Actually a portal was ( Read more... )

There was an honest to God space station. If she were to be completely honest - and there was no way, really, not to be, with as long as it had been since she had been able to say so - Rahne was nothing but thrilled. Real excitement, here, was a difficult thing to come by, and complacency wasn't something that suited her well; strange though this sudden appearance was, she would have been hard-pressed not to be grateful for it.

Meaning, more than anything, just to get a look around, she had taken the boat trip to the second island and gone up (and wasn't that strange, a portal from the ground, if not so much as to really be of note). She hadn't seen much, though, when she heard a familiar voice, one which she couldn't help wanting to answer. "I'd be glad to join ye," she said with a short laugh, walking in Amy's direction. "Fascinating, isn't it?"

"Brilliant," Amy said stopping in her tracks to wait for Rahne to catch up. There was no point in asking for someone to pop along only to leave them behind. That would defeat the point of asking for someone to come along and be kind of mean. There was something about being in a space station that made her both a bit more patient and decidedly impatient all in one go. There was no sense to it. None at all.

"I love space. I love this sort of thing. Sure it's a bit more sterile than I'm used to but I'll take it."

"It's all a bit odd, this showing up, but you'll get no complaining from me," Rahne said by means of agreement, one shoulder lifting in a shrug. "It's about time we had some proper excitement around here. Which way should we go first?" Likewise impatient, now that she had some company for it, she wasn't about to just stay in place staring when there was so much to be seen.

"Oh, it's totally daft, but I love daft things."

Indeed she did. There was an odd sort of kinship to be found in them given that she was for the most part completely daft. Or maybe just a little daft and fully mad. Amy wasn't certain where the distinction was and for the most part didn't care. It hadn't bothered her so much lately.

Spinning in a slight circle, eyes squeezed shut she stopped suddenly and pointed. "That way. I think."

There was a part of Rahne that wanted to be methodical about these things, that couldn't quite trust it, but it was easily overridden by impulse, and the laugh she had to suppress while watching Amy spin in a circle. That was one way to choose, alright, and with so much to see, she couldn't argue it.

"That way it is," she agreed, starting in the direction Amy had pointed. "I'll take daft if it means there's something to do."

"Aye." Amy nodded slight before rolling her eyes. That was the problem. There was never really anything to do. This place could turn out to be as boring as all get out but at least it was somewhere else. She'd had just about enough of standing still. It was driving her up the wall.

"Let's find something to do here. Besides explore that is, though I've got nothing against doing a whole lot of that."

"Oh, I think a whole lot of exploring goes without saying," Rahne said with a nod. It was safer that way, anyway; she was disinclined to trust these things at first glance, though that, in a way, only made her more fascinated, more prone to running into danger than away from it. Doing the opposite never accomplished anything, and this place had already been given the all-clear, anyway. "Maybe in the exploring we'll find something?"

"Ah yeah, it sort of does." Her trainers squeaked on the shiny floors as she ambled down the hallway. Every so often she would stop and stick her head in a door to see if anything struck her fancy. So far nothing had but that didn't mean that whatever was behind the next door was going to knock their socks off.

"Definitely find something. Or something'll find us. Hopefully nothing too bad. That would not be exactly nice."
