But a little practice never hurt anyone, so she went into the kitchen to see about trying something different. When she saw Savannah, though, all thoughts of baked goods went out the window. "Savannah?" Frowning with concern, Alexis hurried over next to where she was standing. "Savannah, what's wrong? Did something happen?"

"I want to go home," she admitted. "I miss my parents and my horse and school and Tim and...and John." Just saying his name made fresh fat tears roll down her cheeks.

"Oh my god," she said softly, her heart going out to her friend as she put a comforting arm around her shoulders. "I'm so sorry, Savannah."

"I'm sorry," she said, wiping her face and then wiping it again in an attempt to dry her tears. "I just didn't expect...my boyfriend, well, ex boyfriend, he collected coins with his dad and I found one of his coins. Or one like one he has. It just got me thinking and I couldn't keep myself together even another minute."
