New years had come and gone, and to be frank, Felicity was glad of it. She was sick of it, for no other reason than it was all too cheery and whimsical, but lately she's just been feeling down in the dumps. Her best friend was an emotional mess and she has so few friends close to her age here.
She tried to think of the phrase they used now: screw it. Yes, that's how she felt right about now: screw this island, and its decorations, and the holiday and the damned power that keeps separating families like this. If she had the energy to, she would've liked to break something, or throw something, but she felt sluggish and like something was squeezing her from the inside out. She'd woken up that morning feeling tight and cramped and just wanting to throw something or yell or just curl up in a ball and not move all day. It was a good thing all she really had to do was walk Penny, because she certainly didn't feel like doing anything else. She didn't even feel like staying in the Homestead, because as much as she didn't really feel like talking to people, she didn't feel like waiting in that near empty building either. Besides, walking helped make the aches a bit more bearable.
By the time she made it to the compound, the feeling grew worse and she had to make another trip to the bathroom again. It's there in the stall when she saw the blood in her underwear, and even though in the back of her mind (she had after all read some biology texts) she knew what was going on, the sight of the blood is enough to make her forget all about it. She stared at the blood for only a second before she found herself screaming, almost panicking as she tried to clean herself up.
The next few minutes later still found her curled up in one of the bathroom stalls, feeling disgusted and rather ill.
ooc: Timed to the morning of Jan. 3rd. Felicity's experienced her first menstrual cycle and is less than thrilled about it. She's in one of the 'women's' bathrooms, so feel free to have your female pup hear her scream and go to check it out. ST/LT are more than welcome throughout the week.
